Once again, fate seems to offer me the appropriate timing. On this the 21st week of the year, on the 21st day of the month (at least it still is in Hawaii), I am announcing my “early retirement” from my regularly scheduled uploads. I became an uploader in the early days of UH, just to get the ball(s) rolling (so to speak, *wink*). The original plan was just to offer a sort of “Pic-A-Day” format posted in weekly themed batches so that there would always be something new to enjoy each week for the first full year until UH found it’s groove thing. But here we are, WAY ahead of schedule, and you have already outgrown me. My measly little gifts are now dwarfed by the awesome sights of your contributions. And, honestly, I just couldn’t be happier! Congratulations, UH Uploaders!
And so to mark this occassion, I plan to go out in a blaze of glory with one last upload. And so, instead of just 7 images, this time I am giving you 7 batches of 7 images each. Shirow Masamune’s best work (in my opinion) has been in his posterbook series. So I have created one last theme, which I am calling The Definitive Shirow, which illustrates the evolution of this master artist and then I have selected my favorites (excluding the individual images I already posted, of course) from each of the 6 Posterbook Series Collections. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do.

as much as I have apreciated all your themes the reality that the once great JPN we all once had will never be the same again just prevents me from enjoying them…….
yes we have had quite a few generous uploaders lately but we still have all these people who are here for themselves…….
even some of JPN’s most loyal members have switched sides…….
and nearly all of the decent ones have left…..
the idea of you staying feels me with joy but the loss of what we once had is just to much…..
you may have faith that what is now can be what we had but from where I’m standing it’s just going to get worse……
so I’m taking my leave……
nothing left to say now but goodbye sxy and thank you to you and all the other uploaders for all your wonderfull gifts……..

admins who dosent post much (one post 7 picstures a week and another who post 1 min movies)
the veterans members who are on another website
We’re left here with no forum, no rights no say what we think, and here we are “sharing” (i call it giving it free to a website while the bosses dont share)while we could do it on another webiste or between us on msn
oh yeah there’s a free ipod to catch in about a year or two
things is this website will be dead by this time
without a forum or a shoubox this site will be dead

I don’t see your point Lash. Admins and mods are just users like the rest of you that are just trying to keep things easily available in one location in an ordered, peaceful and fun way. This IS a site for sharing. Why should we post any more FREE stuff than you do? And I don’t see you contributing here at all anymore. Some people upload a few really big contributions and then disappear, but others, like the Admins and Mods are in it for the long haul, constantly looking to provide something new, sometimes big uploads, sometimes small… and SOMETIMES new features. FYI, User Galleries are being added very soon! This is the type of thing that preoccupies the Admins from time to time. And I certainly don’t see the logic in only sharing your stuff with a few friends at a time over MSN when you could be sharing it with the whole community and encouraging MORE sharing. So the only clear difference in getting and receiving content upon leaving UH would be to LOSE the chance for a free iPod. Gee, that’s some benefit. The only thing that “kills” any website is people like you who keep complaining that YOUR every demanding whim and desire isn’t being met. Not everyone wants to have to deal with the drama of complainers in a forum or shoutbox. So THIS site offers a DIFFERENT experience for people just looking for QUALITY content. You can either appreciate it, or move on. No one is stopping you.

Sorry sxyanime but i never accepted the forum’s closing. What was wrong with people chatting and sharing there?
We seems to be missing some kind of communication here, were a community that only goes “yay nice upload , good job”
to me admins may be on the same level than the regular people but i still think that they should be the BOSSES i mean who are they? what tells us that they are actually caring about this website? who tells us that they really planning some changes? i dont see any updates from whoever they are and when they decide to close something (lets say a forum) they dont give us any idea of info as to why the people like me who never did anything wrong got the forum closed
And i dont post my stuff for the reason i already gave you by email, i dont want to share my stuff with invisible people and with people who dosent play by the rules
a lot of people posted links from other webistes and still got the kudos
AND WHERE ARE THE ADMINS TO REGULATE? And im not leaving in hope that someday ill be able to speak with the great people with whom i was able to chat with back on uh forum
i dont even know if they’re still here or where they are

A website who had a community that actually cares rather than ipod hungry people going anywhere to snatch some kudos while some are trying their best to take their time and share their stuff

Lash, you asked, “what tells us that they are actually caring about this website?” The simple fact that they continue to provide and actively host the site is one major clue. The fact that they screen and filter ALL the uploads to insure QUALITY content is another. The fact that they are continually MAKING changes in an attempt to IMPROVE things is yet another. You also asked, “who tells us that they really planning some changes?” Changes take time and often run into unforeseen delays or even problems that prevent an update from happening the way it was originally intended. So rather than forecast changes that might not be ready when the users are expecting them, which would lead to more frustrations, it appears this administration would simply rather wait until everything is ready to go, before unveiling it’s gifts. Meanwhile, no one is perfect, especially when trying to quickly post material to keep up with the demand. And the people that make up this community are NOT faceless kudo whores. I HIGHLY doubt that anyone is TRULY motivated by getting a free iPod. There are much easier ways to get one. But it IS a nice demonstration of the appreciation that the Admins have for our regular uploaders. It’s a show of gratitude and respect. It would be nice if you could think the same of the generous people who ARE contributing and who ARE still active members of this community. Meanwhile, you can feel free to keep e-mailing me.

man. sucks when an uploader says goodbye. well you did good in the long run and thnx for the pics. Hope there are some future uploaders out there to post somethin new n sexy

Sorry, shazbot, I am not from Hawaii. I am from Los Angeles. I only mentioned the time in Hawaii since my post was technically too late to be on the 21st by my own local time. I have been there though, and loved every second of it. Meanwhile, thank you all for the compliments. I truly apprecitate them. And you haven’t seen the last of me, I’ll still be peeking in. And who knows, maybe sometime down the line I’ll have some more to upload, but for now it’s all up to you guys. Keep it up!

it says when i click on the uload that the files are forbidden could i get some help
